Common Ground Sugarbush (Protea Acaulis)

Not many people are aware of just how diverse the Protea Genus is, let alone the Family. A personal favourite of mine are the Ground Proteas; a small group of true Proteas which grow flat on the ground or even with their branches under the ground and which are pollinated by the Striped Fieldmouse, some even going to far as to actively hide their flowers from birds.
